Their sweeping, virtuoso style has made Fran & Flora insider celebrities in their hometown of London. Performing thoughtful harmonic arrangements of klezmer and other Eastern European instrumental music, this duo offers a rich palette of sounds and ideas that occasionally makes them sound like a full orchestra. “A string duo bound for glory” was how Max Reinhardt of the BBC described them – and we can’t help but agree.
