Yankl-Peretz Blum (USA/IL; Yiddish language)
Yankl-Peretz began teaching himself Yiddish as a college student in California. Since 2006, he has been a board member of Yugntruf — Youth for Yiddish, serving as its chair for several years, and has been an active member of the Yiddish Farm since its founding in 2011. He began teaching Yiddish in 2007 and has since taught at the Yiddish Farm, YIVO, Workmen’s Circle, and Yugntruf. He has an MA in Linguistics and works as a project manager for the animated educational website YiddishPOP. He lives with his wife Mire-Rivke in Jerusalem, and spends his free time learning languages.
